We purchased a used Volkswagen Passat from Economic Cars Elx in April 2025 for €7,000. The car appeared to be in good condition during the test drives, and based on the many positive reviews, we felt confident buying from this dealership.

Unfortunately, problems started almost immediately. Within the first 200 kilometers after purchase, the car went into limp mode and was diagnosed with a faulty injector. Although this first repair was eventually covered under warranty, it caused significant inconvenience, unexpected expenses, and disrupted our planned move, forcing us to rent another vehicle.

Five months later, while driving back to Spain from the Netherlands, the car broke down again in France. Once again, the cause was a faulty injector. Instead of showing concern or trying to help resolve the situation, the initial response was that the car was no longer covered by their warranty. We were able to provide evidence showing that the mileage was still within the agreed warranty conditions. Eduardo later promised reimbursement for the repair costs, but despite repeated attempts to follow up, the payment was never made and communication largely stopped.

Unfortunately, the problems did not end there. After the repair, we experienced further breakdowns caused by a failed clutch cylinder and yet another injector failure. These repairs may have fallen outside the warranty period, but it does say something about the quality of a car if it needs to be repaired for more than €2,000 within a year.This resulted in additional towing costs, rental car expenses, and repair bills. Eventually, we decided to sell the vehicle at a loss because we no longer had any confidence in its reliability.

I understand that issues can occur with used cars. What disappointed me most was not the mechanical failures themselves, but the way the situation was handled after the sale. Good customer service is measured by how a company responds when problems arise. In our case, we increasingly felt abandoned once the purchase had been completed.

Based on our experience, I would advise potential buyers to proceed with caution when purchasing a vehicle from Economic Cars Elx.

Adquirí un vehículo este agosto,en cuanto al vehículo ninguna pega , todo ,todo ,todo en perfecto estado y funcionamiento. Pero se me dijo que se me conseguiría manual del vehículo físico y se me regalaría un llavero oficial ( sin yo pedirlo) y largas largas y largas y al final nada. Por lo demás ,todo ok.

Después de mirar coches en otros lugares decidí ir a Economy cars, lo recomiendo, desde el primer minuto fuí atendida y asesorada respecto al vehículo que me interesaba, Eduardo es una gran persona muy profesional y honesta, adquirí el vehículo recientemente y estoy muy satisfecha con la compra y el trato recibido. Si en el futuro necesitase otro vehículo sin duda volveré.

Fatal con ellos me vendieron un siroco que en 5 meses ha pasado 3 veces por el taller , voy con 3 luces encendidas de fallos y no se hacen responsables de nada le pides explicacion por que la unidad de motor no renoce la marcha y te bloquean
