Be very careful with EasyCars Torrevieja and their so-called “no quibble 1-year warranty.” It sounds great on paper, but when something actually goes wrong, they do everything they can to avoid responsibility – even when it’s a legal obligation.

I bought a Range Rover Velar from them in November 2024. A few months later, a fault developed in the LED front light – a fault that independent mechanics and dealers confirmed should be covered under Spain’s mandatory 1-year used car warranty.

EasyCars refused to take any responsibility, falsely claiming that the warranty only covers engine and gearbox. This is completely untrue and not in line with Spanish consumer law.

Their public claims of “no hidden costs” and “1-year guarantee on all vehicles” are misleading. If you’re thinking about buying from them, make sure you fully understand your legal rights – and be ready to fight for them.

We would like to clarify our position regarding this matter. The vehicle was sold with a 12-month used car guarantee, which, in line with standard practice, covers mechanical and electrical components related to the engine, gearbox, as outlined in the gurantee documentation provided at the time of purchase.

The issue reported concerns a LED headlight unit. Lighting components are considered wear-and-tear or consumable items and are not included under the warranty coverage. This is clearly stated in the gurantee terms, which exclude bulbs, lamps, and lighting assemblies unless a manufacturing defect is present at the time of sale.

At the time the vehicle was delivered, all lights were fully functional and the vehicle passed its pre-delivery inspection. No fault with the headlight was present or reported at delivery.

We understand that vehicle repairs can be frustrating, and we always encourage customers to contact us directly so we can review concerns transparently and in good faith. However, in this case, the reported issue falls outside the scope of the guarantee provided.
