After I recommend you. Ian you might not know who I am but we will certainly not be doing so again and no more referral. Over a simple bonnet cable. Poor show indeed. Happy to delete this with explanation.

AVOID this place if you want things done right with precision and if you don’t want things that were ok to be broken!! We went to ask for diagnosing a strange noise which we expected to be some pulley/tensioner/etc., and they said that it was the drive belt tensioner. Ok. The owner quoted original spare part 219€ (pretty expensive). Then afterwards in another call: 119€+50€ for an hour of work. Just he didn’t say it was OEM (AllMakes); even more expensive price for OEM. So they have hefty margins. We had no choice as we needed the tensioner repaired, so we went back the next day when the part was there (and only then saw that it was the OEM part). When they changed the tensioner, we asked thrice (!) shouldn’t the belt be also changed (as we had a new spare with us and the one in the car was already pretty worn out). Guy said, no it’s fine. He installed the new tensioner; the noise was still there, only then he said that yes the belt needs changing… Ridicilous. We also asked him to take a look at our bonnet which kept popping open on bumps, and asked him to adjust the striker, but he started digging on the bonnet cable with a screwdriver and said that the problem is there. We believed him, so we didn’t intervene. But he didn’t get anything done to it, then just suddenly refused to do anything to it anymore (!?). In the next morning we noticed that he had actually cut the bonnet cable and it was now broken!! No wonder why he suddenly ceased doing anything to it anymore! We went back to the garage and asked him to fix what he had broke. We also spoke with the owner on the phone several times (in English). He argued that the ”cable was rusty”, etc., no it wasn’t; we had also sent him a picture of it where anyone can see that the cable was not rusty at all (that picture is attached here, too). They still refused to replace the cable they had broke! We would’ve needed to pay for a new part and labour. Outrageous! So we naturally didn’t want them to do anything anymore (originally would have also wanted a basic maintenance) as they and their ”skills” clearly could NOT be trusted! If you want things to be done properly GO ELSEWHERE AND AVOID THIS PLACE! NOT worth your time nor money!! Owner also blamed language barrier. Yes, we don’t speak much Spanish (only basic skills), but there was another worker who could have translated everything (British guy), when we said in Spanish to the other guy working on our car that we don’t understand everything what he said to us. ”Conveniently” a lot of things were then not told to us despite us telling that we don’t understand everything. So make your conclusions, do yourself and your car a favor and go elsewhere!
