Recent hebben wij een auto gekocht bij Aboutcars. Ik heb de auto gevonden via de website en een bericht gestuurd naar Aboutcars buiten de openingstijd.
Heel snel na het versturen van het bericht had ik al contact met Wieberen en konden wij de volgende dag al langskomen om de auto in het echt te zien en een testrit maken.
Toen we het besluit hadden genomen om de auto te kopen kon deze snel door ons worden opgehaald. Wieberen heeft tevens goed geholpen met een autoverzekering.

Dus voor ons is Aboutcars betrouwbaar en hebben zij een snelle service.
Fijn om Wieberen ontmoet te hebben.

I would advise anyone against selling their car here, unfortunately I feel like the owner has badly taken advantage of me. He has given me a 9000 euro offer based on detailed photos and documents of my car, and once he learnt I am leaving the Canary Islands, he has organised everything so that the paperwork happens 2 days before I leave the islands - due to his offer, I have not tried to sell my car elsewhere. When the day of the sale came and his guy met up with me, he has lowballed me with a revised offer of 8300 euros due to "newly found" very minor scratches and due to (according to him) having to change the front tires (which were in good condition). I did not agree at all, but also did not have time anymore to sell it to anyone else or look for alternates, so decided to sell it for 8300 and left Tenerife. Less than 3 days later, I can see that my car is already advertised for 15000 euros on their website (now "discounted" as 13000) with the same exact front tires that I sold to them with and condition. During the process, he continously BS-d me about not being able to sell the car for more than 11000 euros and he needs to have a reasonable margin. If you contemplate selling here, please be very cautious about their business ethic, and make sure you have them inspect the car personally and finalising the offer BEFORE you stop trying to sell it elsewhere, and do not leave it to your last days regardless if he tries to pressure you otherwise.
The only reason for not giving 1 star is that the owner spoke good English, and the sales process itself was quick and smooth, with papers organised and done professionally and the money arrived instantly.

Desaconsejo a cualquiera vender su coche aquí. Lamentablemente, siento que el propietario se ha aprovechado gravemente de mí. Me hizo una oferta de 9.000 euros basándose en fotos detalladas y en la documentación de mi coche y, una vez supo que me marchaba de las Islas Canarias, organizó todo para que el papeleo se realizara dos días antes de mi salida de las islas. Debido a su oferta, no intenté vender el coche en ningún otro sitio.

Cuando llegó el día de la venta y su empleado se reunió conmigo, me hizo una oferta a la baja de 8.300 euros alegando “nuevos” defectos encontrados: unos arañazos superficiales muy pequeños (de pocos centímetros) y, según él, la necesidad de cambiar los neumáticos delanteros (que estaban en buen estado). No estuve de acuerdo en absoluto, pero ya no tenía tiempo para venderlo a otra persona ni buscar alternativas, así que decidí venderlo por 8.300 euros y salir de Tenerife.

Menos de tres días después, pude ver que ya estaba anunciando el coche en su web por 14.900 euros (ahora “rebajado” a 12.900), con exactamente los mismos neumáticos delanteros y en el mismo estado en el que se lo vendí. Durante todo el proceso, me estuvo diciendo constantemente que no podía vender el coche por más de 11.000 euros y que necesitaba tener un margen razonable.

Si estás pensando en vender a AboutCars, te recomiendo ser muy prudente con su ética empresarial. Asegúrate de que inspeccionen el coche personalmente y de que la oferta quede cerrada antes de dejar de intentar venderlo por otros medios, y no lo dejes para los últimos días aunque intenten presionarte. Para mí ha sido una lección cara por haber sido demasiado confiado

La única razón por la que no doy 1 estrella es que el propietario hablaba buen inglés y el proceso de venta en sí fue rápido y fluido, con la documentación organizada y gestionada de forma profesional.

Our company’s goal is to provide a hassle-free and transparent car buying and selling experience, and we always strive to act accordingly. We never pressure our customers, and we aim to be fully honest and fair in every transaction.
As we already explained, we offer only cars in 100% correct condition—meaning no scratches, worn tyres, or other defects. If any issue arises that is not caused by the owner, we take full responsibility and ensure it is properly repaired. The same standards apply when we purchase vehicles.
In the photos you originally submitted, certain issues were not visible, including scratches and the condition of the tyres. While these may seem minor, for us any defect must be repaired in order to sell the car in perfect condition. We are currently repairing the scratches, and the tyres will be replaced next week. Additionally, we discovered that the oil timing belt had not been replaced, even though Peugeot requires this every five years. This service is also being completed at our expense.
You may have seen the car listed on our website already. This is part of our standard process: once a car is acquired, it is published online while any necessary repairs are being completed. This is common practice and nothing unusual.
Regarding pricing, we do resell cars at a higher price than the purchase price—this is the fundamental principle of any business operating sustainably. The premium our customers pay reflects the value we provide: cars in perfect condition, no risks, no stress, and full paperwork handled for them. Your case is actually a good example of this added value.
Once again, we regret that your experience felt negative. We never change an agreed price without reason; however, in this case, several issues were not disclosed beforehand. While they may have seemed minor to you, they were significant for us. We operate with complete transparency and expect the same from our customers, which is why the price had to be renegotiated on the spot—something you ultimately agreed to.
We want to assure you that we never intended to take advantage of your situation.
