I purchased a BMW 430D from MOSMOTOR S.L. approximately three years ago.

Only recently, when preparing to sell the vehicle, I carried out a professional diagnostic inspection. The electronic data recorded in the vehicle’s control units indicates mileage readings of over 230,000 km, while the vehicle was sold to me with documentation showing approximately 125,000 km.

This indicates a difference of roughly 100,000 km compared with the mileage presented at the time of sale.

The vehicle was imported from Germany by MOSMOTOR and sold to me with documents confirming the mileage at the time of purchase. I still have all the original documentation from the sale as well as the diagnostic reports confirming the electronic mileage data.

After discovering this issue, I contacted MOSMOTOR several times by email and asked the company to propose a reasonable solution.

I offered to resolve the matter amicably, including allowing the company to repurchase the vehicle at its current market value, so they could investigate and address the situation themselves.

Unfortunately, the company refused to offer any solution and declined to take the vehicle back.

Under Spanish law, odometer manipulation is considered a serious issue and buyers have the right to seek legal remedies in such situations.

As a result, I have filed a formal complaint with the police and initiated legal proceedings.

I am sharing this review so that other buyers are aware of my experience. In my case, when a serious issue with the vehicle was discovered, the company did not provide assistance or propose a solution.

I remain open to resolving this matter amicably if MOSMOTOR decides to contact me and address the situation responsibly.

Under Spanish law, the relevant time period for filing a claim in cases involving fraud begins from the moment the issue is discovered. From the moment of discovery there is a six month period to initiate a claim. Therefore the fact that the vehicle was purchased three years ago is not relevant to this situation.

I purchased the BMW 430D directly from MOSMOTOR S.L. with documentation indicating approximately 125000 km at the time of sale. A recent professional diagnostic inspection shows electronic mileage records stored in the vehicle control units exceeding 230000 km, which indicates a discrepancy of around 100000 km.

This discrepancy makes it impossible for me to sell the vehicle.

As the importer and seller of the vehicle, MOSMOTOR is responsible towards the buyer. Any investigation regarding the company or individual from whom the vehicle was originally purchased is a matter that should be handled by MOSMOTOR, not by the customer. I should not be expected to investigate companies in other countries from which you import vehicles.

In Spain, manipulation of a vehicle odometer constitutes a serious matter and may amount to a criminal offence when fraud is involved.

I still hope that MOSMOTOR will reconsider the situation and come forward with a reasonable proposal, for example by taking the vehicle back and investigating the matter directly with the parties from whom it was purchased. In that case we could resolve the matter amicably.

If a fair solution is proposed, I would be willing to remove this review. All documentation relating to the purchase, the mileage presented at the time of sale and the diagnostic reports confirming the electronic mileage data is available.

For potential buyers reading this review:
I recommend carrying out a full independent diagnostic inspection of any imported vehicle before purchasing, including checking electronic mileage stored in the vehicle control units.

Compré recientemente un Mercedes Clase S W222 350 en Mos Motor (Calpe) y la experiencia ha sido excelente de principio a fin.

Antes de cerrar la compra pedí una revisión independiente a NeedCarHelp. Aun así, en Mos Motor fueron más allá y detectaron algunos puntos que en esa inspección no se habían visto. De forma muy profesional realizaron una revisión completa del vehículo: cambio de aceite y filtros de motor, mantenimiento de la caja de cambios y sustitución de los tacos de motor y de la caja. Todo con total transparencia y explicándome cada detalle.

El trato durante todo el proceso fue excepcional, muy cercano y profesional, algo que hoy en día no es tan fácil de encontrar en el sector de la compraventa. Se nota que cuidan los coches y que quieren que el cliente se vaya tranquilo con su compra.

Sin duda, Mos Motor se está convirtiendo en un referente en compraventa de vehículos en la zona. Muy recomendable.
